Just me

Why I plan my meals

The heading of this post might be deceiving because I dont plan my meals per se but I do plan when in my day I will eat, due to my busy schedule.

As weird as it sounds I do tend to plan my day around my meals, not in an obsessive way, for instance, today I knew I was doing a leg workout and jumping a horse at 10;45 so I was going to be leaving at 9;45 and only getting home around lunch time and there was NO way I was going to do both of those with no food to fuel me, so I ate earlier than I normally do even though I wasn’t hungry because I knew if I didn’t that means I wouldn’t have any food in my body to provide it with energy so that means my body would dip into stored energy and id be extra tired after the leg workout and the jump.

I had Cream of rice cereal (it’s like a porridge) by NPL (thanks Darrin for this :)), which is a complex carbohydrate (slow-release energy) and added some seeds, chia seeds, strawberries and peanut butter for their added benefits. This 10000% sustained my morning exertions and I wasn’t exhausted by lunchtime.

So basically I’m not saying you need to plan every minute of your day around food because that isn’t healthy, always be flexible but if you know you have a busy day then allocate ideas of times that you can enjoy a nourishing meal that will give you the energy your body needs

I will add the products below that I used if you want to try any 🙂
